You'll quickly learn about this amazing natural oil, and how to apply it to many situations you may encounter, from frizzy hair control, to restoring your hair after a long day in the sun or at the beach! Here Are Our Top 5 Benefits of Argan Oil - Enjoy!
The key ingredient in Argan Oil is Vitamin E. Vitamin E is extremely beneficial for hair and is found in argan oil in high quantities. Vitamin E promotes healthy hair growth as it contains antioxidants, which help boost cells and encourage them to produce healthy hair – it has even been used for hair regrowth.
Argan oil has a number of benefits when used on hair. It can act as a moisturizer for the scalp to fight dandruff and dry scalp. It can also promote the growth of healthy, strong hair as opposed to thin, brittle hair.
Vitamin E, which is quite abundant in argan oil is definitely one of its most powerful components. Vitamin E is also great for the skin. On both the hair and skin, it helps to fight free radicals, promoting the health of your hair, follicles, scalp, skin, and pores, depending on where you choose to use it.
Hair growth versus re-growth is a totally different topic and an important one! Argan oil is rich in natural phenols that are beneficial to hair follicles. Not only does it promote new hair growth, but it also will help you grow healthy, thick looking hair. In addition, less scalp irritation supports hair regrowth and less dandruff, dryness and flaking.
Argan Oil is a natural defense against sun exposure and also nourishes your hair after a day in the sun or at the beach.
Argan Oil is a natural detangler and helps control the frizzy hair.
A great benefit of Argan Oil is recovering from the damage during hair styling at the salon or during a coloring treatment.
The first rule of thumb... guarantee it is Certified USDA Organic Argan Oil. There is a lot of fraud in the industry, especially with overseas cultivation and pressing, since much of the world's Argan Oil comes from Morocco.
The extra certification ensures that your Argan Oil purchase is not diluted, or mixed with a cheaper (vegetable oil). So always go Organic.
Second Tip: As mentioned in our other blog posts, you as the consumer should feel free to ask the Brand to show evidence of origin, also called a Declaration of Origin. There are many counterfeit Brands operating under the disguise of an American Based company name, but much to our surprise, the company is based in countries rife with copycat practices (without naming names!).
Third and Last Tip: Never purchase a quality natural oil in a plastic bottle. Demand a glass bottle, especially with the applicator - a glass dropper.
Even with BPA free plastics, there are 'things' that leach out of oils, that you just do not want to have on your precious, beautiful face!
HOW TO APPLY ARGAN OIL FOR YOUR PERFECT HAIR TREATMENT
Whether your hair is dry, dull, brittle, or oily, argan oil’s famed healing and restorative powers will fix everything and more. It has many uses for all types of hair- and below we’ve outlined how you can best use pure argan oil to benefit your specific hair needs.
IF YOU HAVE DRY HAIR, USE IT AS A DEEP CONDITIONER.
Place conditioner in your hand and add 2-3 drops of argan oil.
Mix them together with your hands and condition hair as usual. Let it sit for 3-5 minutes and rinse. Result: Softer, smoother, silkier hair that stays fresh for days!
IF YOUR HAIR IS ROUGH & DAMAGED, USE IT AS A PRE-SHAMPOO CONDITIONER.
30 minutes before you take a shower, massage a few drops of argan oil into your scalp in a circular motion.
This will stimulate the hair follicles and distribute the nutrients of the oil deep down. Then, comb it through from scalp to tip to coat the whole shaft.
Rinse out with shampoo/conditioner. Result: Soft, moisturized hair that protects hair from damaging heat and chemicals.
IF YOU HAVE SPLIT ENDS OR SLOW-GROWING HAIR, USE IT AS A LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER.
Warm one drop of oil in the palm of your hands, then comb it through your hair with your fingers. Make sure you get the ends of your hair well. Then, add one drop to your fingertips and massage it into your scalp. Result: Immediate shine & gloss, tamed frizz, and repaired breakage for more manageable hair.
IF YOU HAVE FRIZZY, FLYAWAY HAIR, USE IT AS A SILKY SERUM.
Apply a few drops and comb with fingers through wet hair before blow drying. Once hair is dry, put one drop in hand and comb through hair with fingers. RESULT: Extra shine and bounce without frizziness or flyaways. It will also protect your hair from heat and humidity. Reference: Argan.com

"I am very impressed with this product. I have been buying argan oil for my hair and nails for some time now, and I have to say the quality of this product is REMARKABLE. I have never tried an argan oil of this quality.. a little goes a LONG way. It comes with an additional glass droplet which I have not seen for other argan oils... This is specially helpful because now I don’t have to eyeball product, I know exactly how much is going in my hair!! They really think of everything! If I could give this product 10 stars, I would. I will most definitely be ordering again. 5 out of 5!!"
"The shipment was very fast and prompt. The company was very friendly and helpful to meet all of my questions.
I have been using Argan oil daily for a few years now. I compared Mother Nature’s Argan oil with the other two brands from two companies (high quality, expensive oils from Morocco) that I am currently using.
I received Mother Nature’s Argan oil in an amber glass bottle with its own completely sealed cap, along with an additional separated dropper cap. This is a nice option, you have a choice to choose whether or not to use the dropper.
My other two brands just came with dropper caps. Mother Nature’s Argan oil has a slight golden, yellowish color and a very faint nutty smell.
The smell is a slight stronger smell than extra virgin olive oil and avocado oil, but it way way less potent of a smell than castor oil.
Don’t let the smell fool you or discourage you from purchasing it. You can only smell the Mother Nature’s Argan oil if you bring the bottle directly up to your nose; otherwise, when you apply the Mother Nature’s Argan oil on your skin, the smell dissipated.
Mother Nature’s Argan oil is easily absorbed on my skin. I really love how my skin feel afterward; smooth, soft, and creamy. With my other two brands, my skin does not absorbed too well and left a greasy residue in the morning after over night.
My two cents: Did you know that Argan oil is known as “liquid gold?” My other two brands have an odorless, colorless, clear liquids. It makes me wonder if my other two brands had been refined, diluted or even chemical alter.
Mother Nature’s Argan oil is definitely above par. It is an excellent product, if you ever decided to purchase Argan oil. I love the product so much that I purchased another bottle within 2 weeks."
"My face started breaking out a lot about 6 months ago when I started school, while still maintaining a full time job. I think might have been a combination of stress, less sleep, and eating take out food more frequently. I started wearing almost no make up to see if it would help. I tried to eat more home cooked meals, but that wasnt really helping.
I always try my best to opt for natural/organic remedies. So after doing some research online i stumbled upon this amazing product. I apply this oil to my face every night before going to sleep, and within 2 weeks i could already see the improvement in my acne.
I now use this oil religiously, and highly recommend it. Also, since this product was working so well for my face, i tried it also on my scalp.(As my scalp can get pretty dry). So far I have been using it on my scalp for about 1 week, and I can already see the difference is making in my hair. Im more than happy with this product and would give it more than 5 stars if i could. Highly recommend it!"
One amazing plant medicine is found in the Argan Tree (Argania spinosa), which is native to Morocco.
It is the oil from the kernel of the bitter fruit of the Argan tree that is most used throughout the world, and is obtained by roasting, grinding, mashing or cold-pressing them to extract the argan oil.
Cold-pressing has the least impact on the nutritional value of the kernel, and produces the purest, most effective oil, which supplies Omega-6 fatty acids, linoleic and oleic acid, Vitamin E as well as biological compounds like sterols, carotenoids, polyphenols, xanthophyls and potent antioxidants which are all highly beneficial to health and wellness.
Argan oil is not the new kid on the block, though! It has been around for centuries, called “Liquid Gold” by the ancients, and was prized as a soothing and healing balm for skin, nails and hair, for its anti-aging properties, and for relieving painful joints and symptoms of many diseases.
As a nut oil, argan oil is also used as a flavoring for many traditional Moroccan savory and sweet entrees and desserts…even as a topping for ice cream!
Recent scientific studies report that argan oil has shown significant results as a nutritional supplement for the prevention of cardiovascular disease and cancer, with emphasis on inhibiting cancer growth, as well as reducing elevated blood pressure, blood sugar, and insulin resistance.
A recent laboratory study added 10% glucose to the drinking water of a designated group of rats, with half receiving corn oil supplement and the other half receiving argan oil.
The group that received the argan oil had notably lower systolic blood pressure, and improved blood sugar and insulin numbers.1
More studies on the effects of argan oil on the cardiovascular system note that daily argan oil supplements taken over a period of 5-8 weeks, resulted in significant improvement of blood lipid levels, prevention of blood clot complications, improved oxidative stress and resistance to hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells)2
The antioxidant properties of argan oil make it of particular interest in scientific studies with regard to prevention and treatment of many types of cancer, including breast and prostate cancer3.
With its unique composition of antioxidant compounds and Omega-9 unsaturated fat, argan oil can be a significant nutritional component for cancer disease prevention.
In the area of aging, rheumatoid arthritis, neurodegenerative diseases, and pain due to injury, argan oil can provide relief and reduce stress and symptoms, beginning in as little as 5 to 8 weeks, with improved pain levels and ease of walking.
Our skin is often overlooked, even to the point of neglect, when we decide on vitamins, minerals, supplements and food choices, and yet it is the largest organ in the human body!
We cleanse it with chemicals that strip the natural oils, we clog the pores with creams, lotions and makeup, we prevent sweating with deodorants and antiperspirants, and then we wonder why we have itching, rashes, blemishes, dermatitis and more!
Argan oil is ideal for balancing the skin, restoring the barrier function and maintaining the skin’s ability to retain water, or hydration, with daily application. Similar benefits are found when even a few drops a day are applied to the scalp, balancing both the skin and hair follicle, and reducing hair loss, supporting hair regeneration, and ridding the scalp of dandruff.
Whether ingested or applied topically, argan oil nourishes the body with vitamins, minerals, Omega fatty acids, and beneficial compounds that help the body help itself to repair skin, hair, nails, organs and systemic function.
When selecting the best argan oil for your nutritional needs, be sure to look for a cold-pressed brand, with bright golden oil color.
Cold-pressed oil processing ensures the purest and most potent oil quality. 100% pure argan oil will always have a rich, golden color, hence it’s the ancient name “Liquid Gold”!
Make sure that the brand you select uses amber glass bottles to protect the potency and freshness of the argan oil from destructive UV ray exposure, and make sure that the brand you select has a valid expiration date so that it is guaranteed to be fresh.
Find out if the bottle and packaging are marked USDA Organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan, and free of chemical additives, and that you are receiving 100% argan oil, and not blended, with a small amount of argan oil in a cheaper and less effective filler oil.
Choose a company that cares about the customer’s well-being and satisfaction, and provides a No Questions Asked Money Back Guarantee on all their products and one that clearly offers a way to contact them 24/7 with questions.
Argan oil can be added to raw and cooked food, such as salads and roasted meats or veggies, in dressings, sauces, and salsas, and in smoothies and shakes.
It can be blended into nut butter, blended with honey as a breakfast spread, as well as into melted chocolate to drizzle on desserts and ice cream.
It is not recommended to use for high-temperature cooking, such as frying, but is ideal for medium temperature cooking like sautéed onions, veggies, and meats.
It is equally delicious with savory and sweet dishes, adding a light nutty flavor that enhances most dishes. And, like olive oil, it makes the perfect oil to add herbs and dip bread as an appetizer.
