Hi, My name is Ghil Mendoza and I am the MNO in house expert on beauty and skin care.
Have you ever wondered why some skin care brands can get away with selling anti- aging products for upwards of $250, while others sell them for under $35?
But somehow, we seem to have convinced ourselves that high-priced skin care products are better than their lower-priced counterparts. In many cases we are paying a lot more money just for the physical fancy packaging, fragrance and famous models used in their marketing campaigns, but the product itself can be as effective as other less expensive alternatives.
Let’s get real here ladies, this might sound shocking to you but product cost has little to do with effectiveness of the product. So, this is really just a marketing game in my opinion.
So, is it really worth it to splurge on a face cream?
No, not necessarily. You really don’t need to spend a lot of money on fancy beauty products. I’m going to give you some tips on how to make a DIY Anti-Aging Face Oil for great results! Trust me… I know - I’ve specialized in MNO beauty products, and here is the real Beauty Recipe!
Ingredients & Benefits
All of the ingredients that I’m using in this recipe are thoughtfully and carefully chosen. That’s why this DIY face oil is so effective.
-1 Tbsp Organic Jojoba Oil “Provides a strong base that can help keep formula stable and deliver nutrients down deeper into the skin.
-1 ½ Tsp Organic Rosehip oil “Rosehip has a wide variety of nutrients that make it unique to most other carrier oils. With its high presence of carotenoids, vitamin C and trace retinoid-acid.
-1 Tsp Cranberry “Cranberry is an excellent fit for all skin types, including breakout-prone, sensitive and those with perioral dermatitis. It is lightweight, anti-inflammatory and has the presence of tannins and resveratrol.”
-1/4 Tsp Organic Black Seed Oil “Powerful anti-inflammatory can provide rapid wound healing, as it can control local infection and swelling by reducing bacterial growth. Moreover, it also helps to repair skin tissue”.
1. Pour all measured ingredients into a dark glass bottle (preferably one with an eyedropper for easy application).
2. Shake to mix.
3. Use morning and/or evening as part of your skincare routine.
4. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 2 months.
Tip #1: Buy UNREFINED carrier oils. That means all carrier oils should be unrefined. They will smell earthier, but this ensures they have more antioxidants remaining in the oil and it will keep them stable longer.
Tip #2: No Preservatives… Ever! This facial oil recipe contains no preservatives. If you are using quality oils and keeping it away from light and heat, it should last several months.
Tip #3: Apply To Damp Skin… period!
Make sure to apply this completed oil to damp skin ensures you get the hydration you need and the oil absorbs more easily into the skin.
Tip #4: Light Blocking Bottles… All the Way!
We suggest using an amber glass bottle with an eyedropper for the longest-lasting, easiest to apply final face oil.
Showing off glowing and rejuvenated skin doesn’t have to be expensive! You don’t have to buy all the ingredients by yourself, get your girlfriends, daughters or sisters and share the expenses!
